Writing: A travel guide

Write a paragraph for atravel magazine about a festival or celebration where you live. When is it? How do people celebrate it? What should a visitor be sure to see and do?

Example:

The annual fireworks festival in Yenshui, Taiwan, occurs on the last day of the New Year celebration. This is the first full moon on the new lunar year. It's a day when people exploide fireworks in the streets, paint their faces, and dress up as...

The day  that I  wake up the earliest is the 16 of  July because  the day of the VIRGEN  DEL CARMEN is celebrated.   The  fireworks  make too much  noise, everybody in  this day pays  tribute and decorates their cars with baloons of colors blue and white, then they  do a procession around CHIA. It  is difficult to move around during this day, the people are happy doing this, because  the VIRGEN  is the boss of the drivers.

The Barranquilla's Carnaval is celebrated in February. People make costumes for this event. They  search famous people to make their costumes. The heads are very big so that they stand out in the parades. They make groups and everybody wears similar costumes and they are dancing during the parade. Another thing that they celbrate is the death of Joselito. There are women called "plañideras". They cry for Joselito, he is the character who represents this carnaval and his death is the end of the Carnaval.
