There is too much traffic in this city, and it's getting worse! A few years ago, it took me ten minutes to get downtown. Now it makes more than thirty minutes during the rush hour! Here are my suggestions to solve some of our traffic problems. First of all, there should be more subway lines. I think people want to use public transportation, but we need more...

Chía, march 28 - 2010.
MR.
Jorge Orlando Gaitán.
Mayor of Chía.
I am writing this letter, because I am very worry about some problems that the town is facing.
In the last decades this town have increased its population in big number. Chía have received many people from many places around the country, especially from Bogota. the town have responded to the demand of housing, urbanizing continually.
If well is certain, that the town have a good basic education system, and a acceptable covering in health. I think that we are too many retard in infrastructure, sources of job, and superior education. among other topics.
Yet, Chía doesn't have a alternative entry for the east side, the Pradilla avenue, isn't in capacity of receive all the traffic that enter and leave the town from the east. The Variente avenue needs a exit for the North highway.
The route of the buses to Bogota, is very centralized. the people that live in the edges need to walk a lot for to take the bus to Bogotá. it needs alternatives routes.
For the pedestrian too is difficult to walk by the town, it have very few pedestrian cross and traffic lights; and the sidewalks have a lot of obstacles, specially for the people with baby's cars, which prefer to walk by the streets.
Another problem in infrastructure topic, is the lack of parks, the green zones of Chìa, are in the edges, and the most are private. the people need this places to recreation. although Chía have goods sports scenarios, this stood closed, and you need a special license, to use these. As they say, " by security"
From another side, while near towns as Mosquera, Cota, Tocancipá and Cajicà have attracted with the construction of industrial parks and reduction of taxes, to many kinds of Industries that decided leave Bogota; and in this way to create many sources of formal jobs to technician and professionals. The last managements, of this town have worried by do of Chía the world capital of the almohabana with masato. basing in this the town's economy, a economy of Sunday afternoon. Specially when the flowers’ companies have begun to closed
The youth of Chía has many obstacles to enter a superior education with quality. a small group can study in the private universities inside town. others have to travel to Bogota every day, and others can study here in the publics universities. although these doesn't have many careers. however the most youth cannot enter to superior education. but maybe, some of they can get a Job in a almohabanas store, although it will be only on Sunday.

Mr Mayor.
I`m going to write about some problems that we have in Chia :
1. The biggest problem in Chia is the overpopulation, this problem is the cause of the other problems, that I`m going to explain in this letter.
2. The people should walk in the sidewalk: If the people walk in the sidewalk we can have fewer car accidents.
3. Traffic jams: In all the streets we find a traffic jam beacuse the streets are very narrow, and it takes us more than fifteen minutes to leave the town; whereas a few years ago it took us not more than five minutes. There are too many cars , and there arent enought wide streets.
4. Dark streets: At night all the streets are dark, we dont have street lights, and as a result we have many crimes in the traffic lights or on the corners.
I look forward to hearing about solutions from you soon.
Thanks for your attention.
Sincerly yours, Jorge G
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The most common problems the Chia are as follows: first there is lots of traffic through use of the car and many traffic jams are formed. By other side the bicycles do not respect it's established place in the streets.
To improve these problems we must agree and to think that smoke from the cars pollution our environment and other thing that if we do not respect our place in the streets to happen accidents.
WITH THESE IMPROVEMENTS WE WILL HAVE A BETTER LIFE IN CHIA
Mr. Mayor
In Chia, are too many problems:
There are too many cars on road which are very dangerous for bicycles and people. There are too much pollution which is very high and risky for the health.
I think there should be less pollution and fewer cars in Chia.
Chia was silent bat now Chia is noisy, there aren't enough parking garage. Some buses are old, and slow.
Well Chia will be a good place to live.
Thank for your attention

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
IN CHIA THERE ARE TOO MANY PROBLEMS THAT AFFECT THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE PEOPLE; FOR EXAMPLE THE CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL COMPLEXES, FOR THIS REASON I THINK THAT NOW IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO LIVE HERE, BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY CARS, ACCIDENTS, DEATHS OF BAD MEN, STREET PEOPLE AND OTHER THINGS; MAYBE IT WOULD BE SAFER IF THE MAJOR INCRESEASED THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES, STREET SIGNS AND THE POLICE MEN.
to whom it may concern :
there´s too much traffic in chia town. many private cars, motorcycles, buses , bicycles and all kind of persons
selling fruits or vegetables, this is like a flea market over the sidewalks this impede the correct operation of the traffic. There aren´t enough spacious side walks and bicycle lines. We need more rigorous norms for all us ,there should have more police officers making every one´s respect the law and order , and the mayor
should be send to built with correct studies, i think people needs adopted a new forms of see this things and to do something for this town.

AMALFI
Cota, September 9-2009
Mr. Mayor
NESTOR ALFONSO GUITARRERO
I send cordial greetings and then I want to tell you about many problems that there are in our town.
- There are many problems in the public schools, the children are fighting constantly, wounding seriously to the other boys and girls. I think that you must give lectures to the parents and the young.
- Another problem is about the traffic. In this town people and drivers all time commint infractions. They don't take into account the signals. To solve this problem its neccesary more control, on the other hand the auxiliary police don't pay attencion because they are talking on the corner, while people commint faults. I Think that you must discipline not only to people but also to the auxiliary police.
I look forward to hearing about solutions soon.
